Linchpin

Stage 1 of 5 · BuyAvailable now

Purchase billing for distributors. Type the vendor’s bill as printed. Linchpin works out the rest.

Every rupee you will ever earn on a product starts at the vendor’s bill. Linchpin reads it the way you do, carton by carton, and turns it into the cost of a single piece, the price you sell it at, what you owe the vendor and the VAT you can claim back.

What one vendor bill becomes

What you get

Everything on this page is in Linchpin today.

  • Units the way the vendor bills

    10 ctn = 300 pcs

Bill in cartons, cases, bundles or pieces. Each product knows how many of the small unit its bigger units hold, so every piece has a cost.

  • Discounts and taxes, in their order

    2% → excise 5% → VAT

Trade and volume discounts, then excise or any tax you add, as a percentage, rupees per unit or rupees on the line, with rates by date. VAT always comes last, worked out once for the whole bill.

  • Selling rate from your margin

    15.435 + 10% = 16.9785

Set a margin as a percentage or rupees and the selling rate is exactly that, never rounded away. It is checked against the MRP with VAT before the bill is filed.

  • Checked against the paper

    5,232.47 → 5,232

Type the vendor’s printed totals and Linchpin compares them with its own. A difference shows before the bill is filed, not at month end. The total is written out in words, as on the bill.

  • Vendors, with their terms

    Fonepay QR

Credit days and limits, bank accounts, contacts and the vendor’s payment QR codes, kept together so paying them never means searching a phone.

  • Drafts that wait for you

    Draft · saved

A bill half typed when the phone rings is still there when you come back, and nothing reaches stock or the ledger until it is filed.
