Linchpin

Distribution software built for Nepal's FMCG businesses.

Linchpin connects purchase, stock, sales, collections and accounts in one system. Enter a transaction once and it carries through to the shelf, the customer's ledger and your VAT register.

What changes when it all lives in one place

Most distributors run purchase in one book, stock in another and dues in a third. Linchpin replaces the gaps between them.

Type it once

A vendor's bill becomes goods received, then stock on the shelf, then a line in the vendor ledger. A sale becomes an invoice, a due and a ledger entry. Nobody re-keys anything.

Exact lines, round totals

Units convert from bundles to pieces, discounts apply, each product's taxes are worked out in order, and your margin gives the selling price. The grand total is rounded to a round figure, as on any bill.

Stock you can trust, batch by batch

Every delivery is received as a batch with its manufacturing and expiry dates, so you know what is on the shelf and what to sell first.

The right people see the right screens

Give each employee a role. Set approvals and discount limits so a salesperson cannot go below the price you allow.

Everything a distributor does, from purchase to ledger

Six areas that share the same products, parties and prices.

Purchase

Enter vendor bills with units, discounts, taxes and your preset margin worked out as you type. Drafts save automatically, so a half-entered bill is never lost. Handle returns, debit notes and scheme claims against each vendor's account.

Inventory

Made for how Nepal's distributors actually work

Not a foreign accounting package with a few settings changed.

Taxes that follow the product

Create any tax you need and attach it to the products it applies to. One product may carry VAT alone, another four or five taxes. Rates are stored by date, so an old bill keeps the rate it was filed under. A VAT register is built in.

Your trade, your units

Buy in bundles and cases, sell in pieces. Amounts are in NPR with lakh and crore grouping, and MRP is tracked next to your selling price.

Godowns, cheques and credit

Receive goods into multiple warehouses, manage cheque collections and keep vendor credit and customer dues in view.

Control without slowing the counter

You decide what each person can do. The system enforces it.

  • Roles and permissionsEach employee has a role and a login. A role defines which screens they see and what they can do on them.
  • Approvals and discount limitsSales that need a second pair of eyes wait for approval. Discounts cannot go past the limit you set.
  • Business unitsReport separately on each line of business you run.

One pin through the whole distribution cycle.

Purchase, stock, sales, collections and accounts, on one set of numbers.
